The inspiration for the name of this beer comes straight from the intangible heritage, from a lost know-how maintained for many generations in the shadow of our society. The last rays of the day fade away and now, at dusk, a few lonely souls appear on the banks of the Ottawa River. Lines in hand, baits well selected, the sound of boats entering the water bursts from all sides and quickly suffocates in the horizon of the night. Begon, a night beer made in honor of these fishermen of the past, poets of the night landscape. This Quebec Stout was made with white sweet clover flower and fig leaves. Rich aromas of vanilla and coconut tickle your palate on contact with this creamy elixir. The Gros Bégon, its big sister, imperial version is also available in barrels on site, come and taste it !!!
We are finally holders of the liquor license, which finally allows us to announce the official opening of your beautiful craft brewery this Sunday, December 8, 2019. From 5 p.m., come celebrate with us the end of a puzzle and the start of a great adventure! We are very proud to present a reinvented pub style menu that goes wonderfully well with our 9 beers brewed with expertise and love. Several surprises await you, including this new delicious collaboration with the friends of the Brewery of Lower Canada, the 3.3 km, Kveik pale hopped ale with citrus and pleasure notes. To be enjoyed in moderation, or not! A big thank you to all our friends and families who made this project possible. See you this Sunday at 1015, rue Jacques-Cartier, in Gatineau.
